The famous five consists of siblings Julian, Dick, Anne, and their cousin George with Timmy the dog. The five are living near the coast of the Whispering Island with Wilfrid, a young lad with a craze for animals. He accidently discovers that there is something mysterious on the island. Even knowing that they are forbidden to do so, the children take a boat to solve this mystery. But are the rumours about the dangers of the island true? Are the children safe there with Timmy?
This book was not particularly interesting but I really enjoyed seeing Anne turn into a 'Tiger'. The storyline is ok, but I wouldn't read this book again. But if you want to see Anne's transformation, then you must read this book.
