Tales from a Not- So- Graceful Ice Princess is a diary novel owned by middle schooler Nikki Maxwell. Her school announces an ice skating program and the best group can donate the money they win to a charity of their choice. Chloe and Zoey beg Nikki to skate with them. Nikki is hesitant but she finally agrees. She then realizes how bad she is at ice skating. On top of that, Brandon, Nikki's crush, is an assistant worker at an animal shelter and needs money to keep the it open. Brandon absolutely loves the puppies there and decides to donate the money to his charity if she wins. But how she does that is something she hasn't thought of. Yet.
The book is interesting as usual and has comedy and drama like always. This book talks about how one is willing to do anything for other through everything. It has a bit of romance here and there and the theme goes well with the story. I recommend this book for tweens and teens.
