Confessions of a Shopaholic ( 1 ) - Sophie Kinsella | The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic

Becky Bloomwood is a journalist at Successful Savings, working a job that she hates. She is in a lot of debt and can't get out of it, considering that she is addicted to shopping. Derek Smeath, her bank manager is trying to get hold of her, but Becky has endless excuses. What will happen when her excuses get over?

First things first. This is a book which is completely senseless, yet relatable and humorous. There were many times when I wondered how Becky gets away with so many stupid excuses. She is crazy, but some how likeable. The plotline was superb and the writing flowed smoothly. This is the kind of book that you could finish in a day or even in one go. Becky's antics will make you chuckle and scream with laughter. Her angle on being a shopaholic is too good. The side characters like Luke, Suze, Tarquin were awesome too. I'd say that they were more believable that Becky. overall, this is a fun and entertaining read which is super light.
