Harriet Manners is in Australia with her best friend Nat, and her grandmother Bunty. This is where her handsome ex-boyfriend Nick lives, but statistically, she is very unlikely to bump into him, so she's not worried. Moreover, she has a possible romance with her almost-boyfriend Jasper waiting for her when she gets home. If all goes according to plan, she will be able to spend a peaceful fortnight and maybe get a fun modelling job. But when have things ever gone according to Harriet's wishes?
I was initially worried that the Geek Girl series will have a bad ending like most series, but I needn't have worried. It is probably the best of the lot. (I haven't read all of them at the time of writing) I did miss the physical presence of Rin, Toby, Jasper, Annabel and Harriet's dad, though the texts and calls did a great job. I am very eager to read the rest of the series! The plot was superb and Smale gets better and better with each book. Like every other geek girl fan, I never wanted this series to end. But this was the best ending with proper closure on every character in the book.
