I was worried this hyped author might disappoint, but I'm just gonna add to the hype!! This book's got all of my favorite tropes- fake dating, second chances, and Grumpy X Sunshine vibes.
The characters are lovely and I took to them quickly, curling up with this cozy romance. I love how Bri and Jacob are seemingly opposites, and their effect on each other is just too cute. Perfect MC pair if you ever saw one. The layers to their past add so much to the story and of course, their chemistry!
Yup, this book is on the longer side, and I was surprised by the twist when I thought we were just wrapping up. I wouldn't recommend this for a new reader, but it's a good warm-up if you're back to reading after a break. Not what you would call breezy, but not traumatizing either.
In conclusion? Grab this book for some great writing, a few laughs, and a lot of emotion!
