I was excited to read this book, but sorely disappointed by the writing.
Second chance romance is one of my favourite tropes, and I find it hard to believe that it went so wrong!
The story works on a dual POV and a dual timeline, a combination which wasn't carried out well at all as I couldn't really differentiate between the switches and point them out.
The characters too didn't work out for me with their chemistry not feeling real. I think they completely lacked personalities for there to be attraction and a real insighting incident.
I still find the plot simple and I think the story could have been much better with different characters and a more fleshed out storyline.
