This was a very entertaining and interesting listen to say the least. It is absolutely not my kind of book/story (not something I knew before getting this and I'm glad I now know), but I'm sure there's an audience for it. There were many aspects of it I genuinely enjoyed, which is why I was able to finish the whole audio and didn't DNF midway. Educated me a little on the gay community and the types of gays, and gay culture. I think the audio production was done brilliantly.
There's a lot of attention to detail, and there's absolutely no narration, which means that they captured the background events solely with audio effects. Again here, there are some very explicit sounds such as kissing, moaning, sex, etc. I found them kind of disturbing. I didn't like it. I didn't like what they had done for the crying either. I know there will be listeners who don't mind this at all or even enjoy it, but I'm not one of them.
