Didn't enjoy this one at all. The writing made it readable, and it wasn't horrible enough to make me DNF it. The narrator doing a pretty good job also helped me push through, but there's still so much that I dislike about it. Just considering the cover and title and the story- and how disconnected they all are. Took me a second to recollect what the book was about, and I definitely needed to refer to the blurb and other reviews.
FMC Margot isn't a likeable or relatable character in any sense. Someone without boundaries or the sensibility to make sound decisions in life. How childish and immature can a grown adult woman be? I didn't like her family, her sister in particular, with how overbearing she came off. Didn't like the "twist" either. I don't have strong opinions about MMC Oliver but wasn't particularly drawn toward him. The plot and chemistry wasn't good in my opinion either. Not sure I want to read more by this author.
