This book was the perfect feel-good, heartwarming read I needed. There isn't a lot of logic, but so much beautiful emotion and banter.
I loved Alexia as the protagonist, and I adored all the side characters just as much. It's always amazing to have an MC that is relatable and likeable, even in their wacky decisions. There is somewhat a packed cast, yet all the characters are so well developed and distinct from each other they are very clear in my memory. Grant is lovely looking love interest, and paired with the drama between Alexia and Kari, I ate up all that drama.
Even with characters that are so in the background, I think they were still memorable, especially Alexia's abuela. She was such a vibe; comedic yet gave excellent advice. I love that with this mixed bag of people; the author has beautifully penned a fun read that still hits some deeper themes and has a nice message to go with it.
The plot is incredible and kept me hooked for every minute of the listen. And speaking of listening, I'm so glad I had the audiobook because the narration added so much flavor to the whole experience. Highly recommend this read!
