I liked everything about this book except for the way the plot unfolded towards the end. The otherwise appealing conceptualization of characters, encaptivating writing, and lovely narration was completely wasted in my opinion. The eccentric cast had my attention, and I binged the audiobook in a day partly because of that and also because of Karissa Vacker's brilliant skill in encapsulating these unique personalities. To be honest, I was having a lot of fun with this "cozy mystery" book minus the sprinkled bits of romance, but the way it all wraps up left such a bad taste in my mouth, it's the first thing that comes to mind when I think of this book. I don't think I'll be reading this author again with this being my third book by her and all three haven't been great in my experience.
